The Role
This Country Lead Generalist will focus on maximizing consistency and quality of customer service, through comprehensive standards, training, and employee development. The role oversees a team of six HR professionals responsible for the delivery of high-quality HR services across a Greater China. The position will monitor team performance, with an eye towards meeting expected performance indicators, and serves as a point of escalation for the resolution of complex issues. It will also participate in the deployment of HR programmatic changes and process enhancements. The Country Lead Generalist will be a source of innovative ideas to maximize the effectiveness of a dispersed, home-based team. The role will employ creative and thoughtful approaches to team communication, building team community, developing capabilities and will ensure the team environment is conducive to continuous learning and improvement. This position reports to the APAC Hub Leader with potential dotted reporting to APAC Strategic HRBP.
The Individual
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 10 years HR experience in multinational environment. With deep expertise in employment practices and general exposure to various HR functions. The individual is expected to have the ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions, which have an impact on people, quality of service and costs. This includes management skills in addressing interpersonal conflict and stressful work conditions by coping in a mature, problem-solving, solutions-oriented manner. High proficiency of English speaking is required.
Potential Challenges
Must be comfortable in a dynamic fast paced environment. Growing HR function so will require a hands-on approach.
