Korea Human Resources Director – Korea (KR)
Shortlisting
The Company
We are partnering with an international industrial company with a significant presence in Korea and across Asia. The organisation is entering an important stage of evolution as it looks to modernise its culture, strengthen organisational capability, and build a more progressive approach to people management.
The Role
The Korea HR Director is a senior HR leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and Vice Chairman. The mandate is to elevate the HR function from a predominantly operational focus towards a more strategic and business-oriented model. Key priorities include building a stronger performance culture, strengthening leadership and talent development, developing a robust succession pipeline, and supporting the next generation of leaders. The role will also play an important part in modernising the culture, encouraging greater openness, collaboration, and employee engagement.
The Individual
The ideal candidate will be a senior HR leader with strong experience in organisational development, talent management, and cultural transformation. They will be credible with senior executives and comfortable operating in an established, traditional environment while introducing more progressive HR practices. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills are essential, alongside the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution. Experience working with labour unions and employee relations is important.
Potential Upsides
A high-impact opportunity to shape the HR transformation of an established international industrial organisation, with direct exposure to senior leadership and significant influence over culture, talent, leadership, and succession.
Potential Challenges
Requires a sophisticated change leadership approach and the ability to introduce new ways of working while respecting an established organisational culture and heritage.
