Talent Partner Lead, Hong Kong (HK)

Upcoming

The Company

We are partnering with one of Asia Pacific’s largest investor-owned power companies. Founded over a century ago and headquartered in Hong Kong, the Group has a diversified presence across Hong Kong, Mainland China, Australia, India, Taiwan Region and Southeast Asia, spanning power generation, transmission, distribution and retail. With over 8,000 employees and a strong focus on the energy transition, renewables and smart energy solutions, the business continues to invest in reliable supply, sustainability and growth opportunities across the region.

The Role

This is a high-impact Talent Partner Lead role responsible for designing and leading talent programmes focused on the middle management layer across the Group. The incumbent will drive succession planning, high-potential identification and development, leadership capability building, and talent review processes to strengthen the leadership pipeline and organisational readiness. Reporting to the Head of Talent, the role will partner closely with business leaders, HR Business Partners and the broader OD & Talent team to embed consistent talent practices and deliver measurable impact on middle management capability and succession strength. This is a strategic yet hands-on role that requires strong programme design skills, stakeholder influence and the ability to operate effectively across a complex Group structure.

The Individual

The ideal candidate is an experienced Talent Management or OD professional with a proven track record of designing and leading talent programmes, ideally focused on middle management or leadership pipeline development in large, matrixed organisations. Experience within utilities, energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors in Hong Kong or Asia is highly desirable. The individual should demonstrate strong programme management capability, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while working collaboratively with HR and business partners. The role requires a hands-on, self-sufficient professional who can operate independently, drive outcomes through influence rather than authority, and balance strategic design with practical delivery.

Potential Upsides

Opportunity to shape middle management talent strategy and succession strength across a major Group. High visibility with senior business and HR leaders. Chance to design and embed impactful talent programmes in a stable, reputable organisation undergoing energy transition.

Potential Challenges

Requires navigation of complex Group stakeholder dynamics and competing business priorities. Hands-on delivery expected alongside strategic programme design.
