As part of this journey, the company is strengthening its global HR function and evolving Learning & Development from a strong operational capability into a more strategic, enterprise-wide function. The focus is on building future-ready capabilities and leadership, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and aligning learning investment more closely with business priorities. To support this agenda, the company is now seeking a Global Head of Learning & Development to be based in the Netherlands.
The Role
Reporting into the Global Head of Talent and Learning, the Global Head of Learning & Development will lead the evolution of the company’s global L&D function, shifting the focus from learning delivery towards enterprise-wide capability building and business performance. Leading a global team of approximately 15 professionals across different regions, the role will define and deliver a global learning strategy aligned with the organisation’s growth and transformation priorities. Key areas will include leadership and future skills development, learning technology and innovation, global learning operations and governance, and measuring the impact and return on learning investments. Working closely with senior business and HR leaders, the role will ensure learning priorities address evolving business needs while creating a more consistent, scalable and modern learning experience globally.
The Individual
You will bring strong experience leading Learning & Development in a complex, international organisation, with a track record of developing and implementing enterprise-wide learning and capability strategies. You combine strategic thinking with commercial awareness and practical execution, with expertise across leadership development, future skills and capability building, digital learning and modern learning methodologies. Experience leading global teams and managing learning investments, platforms and external partners will be important. You will be an influential and collaborative leader, comfortable operating with autonomy and engaging senior stakeholders across functions and geographies. You will also bring the curiosity and forward-looking mindset needed to modernise L&D and build a strong global learning culture.
