The Company
Our client is a global leader in materials engineering solutions which are used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world. Korea is one of its most strategically important markets, home to world-leading semiconductor manufacturers driving the AI and memory technology revolution. We are supporting the appointment of a Senior HR Business Partner to join the Korea business and influence the talent and organisational strategies that will power the organisation’s growth and impact in this high-stakes, fast-evolving market.
The Role
The Senior HR Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor to Korea business leaders, translating business priorities into people strategies that drive organisational performance. This high-impact role focuses on organisational development and strategic programme leadership rather than transactional execution. The role involves leading OD initiatives that build long-term capability, designing and driving key HR programmes with measurable business impact, partnering with global COEs and colleagues across the US and APAC.
The Individual
You are an experienced strategic HR Business Partner with 15+ years of progressive experience in complex, matrixed multinational organisations, ideally with depth in technology, semiconductor or advanced manufacturing. You will have a proven track record of designing and leading impactful organisational development and strategic HR programmes that deliver tangible business outcomes. Strong business acumen, exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate credibly at senior levels across geographies without direct authority are essential. Understanding of the Korea talent market and cultural dynamics is strongly preferred. You are ambitious and growth-oriented, excited by the opportunity to build credibility with senior stakeholders and progress into broader HR leadership responsibilities.
Potential Upsides
This role offers exceptional exposure to global and regional decision-making, the opportunity to shape HR strategy in one of the world’s most dynamic semiconductor markets, and a visible platform for career acceleration with clear potential to progress into broader HR leadership for Korea.
Potential Challenges
The successful talent must balance global and enterprise HR priorities with localised needs in a fast-evolving, high-stakes market while building trusted relationships and delivering strategic impact across a complex matrix spanning the US, APAC and Korea.
