The Company

Our client is a global leader in engineered fastening solutions, serving customers across the automotive, industrial, and aviation sectors. With more than 2,500 employees across 20+ locations worldwide, the organisation has built a strong reputation for engineering excellence, operational expertise, and long-standing customer partnerships. As the business continues to optimise its international manufacturing footprint and strengthen operational performance, significant investment is being made in leadership capability, organisational effectiveness, HR modernisation, and process excellence. Supporting one of the organisation's most strategically important product lines, this role offers the opportunity to partner closely with senior operational leaders and help shape the next phase of business transformation.

The Role

Reporting to the VP Human Resources, with a dotted-line relationship to the Product Line Director, the HR Business Partner will support approximately 600 employees across Germany, Bulgaria, and Denmark while leading a team of six HR professionals. As a member of the Product Line Leadership Team, the role combines strategic HR Business Partnering with hands-on execution, partnering closely with operational leaders to align people strategy with business priorities. The position will play a key role in organisational transformation, leadership development, workforce planning, employee relations, and operational excellence across multiple manufacturing sites. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence business decisions while supporting major transformation initiatives, HR process improvements, and the continued development of leadership capability across the product line.

The Individual

The successful candidate will bring strong HR Business Partnering experience gained within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, automotive, or similarly operational environments. Experience partnering closely with senior operational leaders and supporting complex, multi-site organisations through periods of transformation will be highly valued. You will have a proven track record in organisational change, leadership development, employee relations, workforce planning, and performance management, together with experience leading geographically dispersed HR teams. Strong knowledge of German labour law, Works Council engagement, and payroll governance will be important, alongside fluency in both German and English. Equally important is the ability to combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on approach. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, influencing senior stakeholders, challenging constructively, and driving change while building trusted relationships across the business.

Potential Upsides

Opportunity to shape the people agenda for one of the organisation's most strategically important product lines while partnering directly with senior operational leadership during a significant transformation programme.

Potential Challenges

Transformation-led manufacturing environment requiring a hands-on approach, strong stakeholder management, and confidence navigating complex organisational change across multiple European sites.
