Lead, Compensation and Benefits, Hong Kong (HK)
Shortlisting
The Company
We are partnering with a leading international financial services organisation with a strong regional presence. The business is continuing to evolve its people agenda and is looking for a senior Compensation & Benefits lead to help shape and strengthen its rewards strategy.
The Role
The Compensation & Benefits Lead will play a key role in developing and elevating the organisation’s rewards framework. This is an opportunity for rewards professionals to operate with significant ownership, helping to establish practices, frameworks, and governance that support the organisation’s evolving business and talent needs. The role will work closely with senior HR and business stakeholders, providing expert advice on compensation and benefits while ensuring that rewards practices remain commercially relevant, competitive, and aligned with the broader people strategy.
The Individual
The ideal candidate will have strong Compensation & Benefits expertise, with experience in a consulting environment highly preferred. This role requires someone who is comfortable solving complex rewards issues, advising senior stakeholders, and bringing external perspectives and best practices into the organisation. The successful candidate will thrive in an environment where they have the opportunity to lead, create, and build rather than simply operate within established frameworks. They should be commercially minded, analytical, and confident in developing practical solutions from the ground up. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills are essential, alongside the ability to operate independently and translate rewards strategy into clear and actionable practices.
Potential Upsides
A genuine opportunity to shape and build the Compensation & Benefits agenda within a leading financial services organisation. Significant autonomy and scope to introduce new practices, frameworks, and ideas while working closely with senior stakeholders.
Potential Challenges
The environment will require someone comfortable with ambiguity and ownership. The successful candidate will need to build credibility quickly, establish effective practices, and balance strategic rewards thinking with practical execution.
