Completed

The Company

Join a leading global organization headquartered in Asia, renowned for its innovation in the medical device industry. With a strong presence in the Americas, this company is committed to enhancing patient care and delivering high-quality medical solutions worldwide. With a dedicated workforce of over 4,000 employees in the region, the organization is focused on creating a healthier future through advanced technology and impactful products.

The Role

As HR Director for Latin America, you’ll lead HR strategy across multiple countries in the region, working closely with senior leadership to align HR practices with evolving business needs. This is a highly engaging, hands-on role that involves modernizing HR operations, fostering an inclusive culture, and ensuring compliance with regional labor laws. You will oversee talent management and compensation, while building strong partnerships to support the diverse needs of a dynamic, geographically dispersed workforce. Success in this role requires frequent travel (approximately 40%) across the region to maintain direct alignment with local teams and drive impactful, on-the-ground execution.

The Individual

We are seeking an experienced HR leader with a background in the medical devices industry and deep expertise in the LatAm region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working directly in local markets, leading HR functions across multiple countries, and building strong on-the-ground relationships. You must be fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives. This role requires someone who can navigate complex HR challenges with cultural sensitivity and who is passionate about advancing HR practices and enabling organizational change across Latin America.

Potential Challenges

A key challenge in this role is limited resources and a lack of established HR processes across the region. The incoming leader will need to build structure from the ground up while delivering day-to-day support in a complex, fast-moving environment. Driving change and building trust with long-tenured leaders across LatAm requires persistence, cultural sensitivity, and a highly hands-on approach.
