Headquartered in Hong Kong, the business operates across multiple markets in the region, including Greater China, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, leveraging a mix of established operations, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships to support its regional growth.
The Role
The Global Head of Payroll is a high-impact leadership role responsible for leading the end-to-end payroll function on a global scale. The position will drive the transformation and build-out of a robust, scalable payroll operating model, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple regions and jurisdictions. Reporting into Global Head of HR operations, the role will act as the global payroll subject matter expert, partnering closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to enhance processes, strengthen governance, and deliver a consistent employee experience. A key focus will be on transforming existing payroll structures, implementing best-in-class systems and practices, and establishing standardised processes across markets. The position will also collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align on strategy, share best practices, and support ongoing digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Individual
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in global payroll leadership, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple regions within complex, matrixed organisations. A strategic and commercially astute leader, you will be experienced in driving transformation initiatives, including payroll centralisation, process standardisation, and systems implementation. You will be adept at navigating ambiguity, operating across diverse regulatory landscapes in Asia, Europe and Americas. A hands-on yet strategic mindset, combined with strong leadership capabilities and experience partnering at the executive level, will be critical. Prior exposure to global payroll transformation and digitalisation initiatives, as well as experience managing outsourced or hybrid payroll models, will be highly advantageous.
