The Role

The Head of Human Resources for Australia and New Zealand will steer the regional people agenda and serve as a key architect of the organisation’s future direction. A significant aspect of the role involves navigating a complex industrial landscape—designing and executing an IR strategy aligned to commercial objectives, ensuring alignment with legislative and regulatory requirements. The position will also be instrumental in rethinking organisational structures, supporting ongoing business evolution, and contributing to global people priorities. With substantial transformation underway, this role is charged with lifting the maturity of HR operations across ANZ—introducing streamlined processes, embedding consistent standards, strengthening technology enablement, and building a modern, high-impact HR model that reflects global expectations.

The Individual

The successful candidate will be an experienced HR professional with extensive knowledge of employment and industrial relations across Australia and New Zealand, ideally gained within complex or operationally diverse environments. They will bring strong commercial insight, strategic capability, and experience in organisational development, with a proven track record of leading and supporting HR teams. A tertiary qualification in business, human resources, or a related discipline, combined with a solid understanding of employment legislation, is required, along with the ability to operate effectively in a regional or multi-site context. The role calls for a resilient and adaptable leader with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, capable of building relationships at all levels of an organisation. The ability to influence, apply commercial acumen and financial literacy, and have impact is essential.
