Regional Learning and Organisational Improvement Manager (AD06/TCCG)

Location: Singapore
Type: Permanent
Posted: 06.05.08

The Company

Not a particularly well known name in Asia, our life sciences client grew out of Europe and now has a US$10 billion business around the world. Singapore is hosting the regional headquarters for Asia and over the coming years will be the hub of key regional functions for the company. Owing to further strengthening of the HR culture and the recruitment of a new HR leader from outside the company to upgrade the HR capabilities, we are on the search for a Regional Learning and Organisational Improvement Manager.

The Role

Reporting to the Asia Pacific HR Director and with a dotted line into the Organisational Development Head in Europe, you will take the lead in training activities across the region, as well as helping the Head of HR with talent management, leadership succession planning, change management and management associate development. This role will cover 10 locations across Asia and involve a close relationship with key business stakeholders.

The Individual

This is a split training and development role, meaning that we are looking for someone capable of doing stand-up training and also someone who can handle organisational development. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves training coordination, training delivery and vendor management. At the same time, you will be keen to take an involvement in very strategic OD activities. This is a tricky brief, in that we don't want someone too extreme along either end of the spectrum (i.e. you should be in the middle!). You should have 10 - 15 years HR experience, be comfortable in 'evolving' a key role in the HR organisation and also enjoy working with a high performance HR Leader.
