The Company
We are working with the Tokyo and regional HR team within a well-known European bank to help find the replacement Head of HR for an important business unit in Japan. While this particular business is very small and managemeable, you will be expected to gravitate into more senior roles within the group organisation after two or three years within the company.
The Role
You will report into a very demanding business head as well as a regional Head of HR based at the company’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong. The company has plans to ramp up their business in 2010, so there will be a large element of recruitment in this role, as well as some administrative HR responsibilies. However alongside these operational responsibilities, you will be expected to be a consultative business partner to the senior management team in the Tokyo office.
The Individual
You will be a mature and responsible junior HR leader who has a good understanding of the financial services industry. While happy to be operational at times, you must always present yourself as a strategic, logical and consultative leader in order to gain the respect of your peers and your business stakeholder team. You should be ready for a role with a high degree of autonomy.
