The Company

This multinational organisation is in a Financial Services-related industry, and has operations in 70 countries. Its brand name is well known in its niche market space. It has a long history both in Asia but also Japan. The Japanese operation is one of its most profitable out of all the countries it operates in the world. The company has a new Regional VP of HR who is highly experienced and is making some very positive organisational and HR structural changes.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional VP HR based in Australia, you will have responsibility for two business operations totalling 400 employees. Around 90% of these employees will sit in Japan with the remainder in Korea. Depending on the calibre of individual, you may also have the opportunity to take on a second regional portfolio that will be added to your main role. This regional portfolio will look at employees based across 10 countries.

The Individual

You will be a Japanese national or a foreigner based in Japan who speaks fluent Japanese. We require a change agent you can drive the HR platform forward and develop a much improved image of the HR function. You will work closely with both the Regional VP HR, the Japan Business President as well as the Global HR Head in the US. This is a visible role globally in the organisation.
