- What is the proper dress code for HR interviews?
- Answer:
It differs according to the company. If you're meeting a decision maker on a Friday or meeting someone from the Technology or Creative industries, there's a high chance they'll be wearing smart casual clothes, especially in Singapore or Australia. Conversely, if you're meeting a decision maker from an investment bank especially in Tokyo or Hong Kong, chances are they will be formally attired.
The best option is to play it safe: neither over-dress nor under-dress. Ask ahead to your headhunter or to the interviewer's assistant to make that you wear clothes that create the right first impression.
