GUEST EXPERT: What are some of the unique issues you see for talent management in the life sciences sector?
Answer:

The Life Sciences sector is both relatively new has been growing rapidly in the last few years, so there has been a severe shortage of specialised talent in the industry. Talent with a solid track record in the life sciences field remains hard to come by, especially at mid to senior level management positions.

Similar to the early days of the software industry boom, many employees in life sciences have crossed over from other industries, so there is significant diversity in today's working population. Also, there is a significant increase in the inflow of talent from Europe and Americas. On the plus side, however, employee turnover is not a major issue in the industry at this moment.
