GUEST EXPERT - Jiunn-Jye Lee: What are the attributes of success for a Regional Compensation & Benefits leader, especially in the Technology sector?
Answer:

Jiunn-Jye Lee
Senior HR Director, APAC Compensation & Benefits
Oracle
Based in Singapore

In my opinion the, here are the attributes of success for a Regional C&B Leader in the tech sector:

The ability to deal with ambiguity, as the business environment in the Technology sector is all about constant change.

The ability to do more with less, leveraging on the power of automation with technology productivity tools.

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as stakeholders expect almost immediate responses. You must be quick on your toes in analysing data and coming up with solutions for approval.

Good influencing and negotiation skills, as most tech companies have highly matrix organizations. In most times, cash and compensation policies cannot be mandated individually, but need to be sold to the various stakeholders.
