- Australian HR talent tends to be very well regarded throughout the Asia Pacific Japan region. The HR profession is sophisticated and mature in Australia, so there are many strong HR professionals who often have solid academic qualifications to back up their professional experience. Australian HR talent are often attracted into the Asian region by the opportunity to develop multi-market experience. They are also enticed by substantially lower tax rates in some markets such as Singapore and Hong Kong. The only downside is that the lack of previous regional HR exposure and also the inability often to speak Asian languages can sometimes be stumbling blocks for talent to get their initial foot into the region.
