Philippines

Philippines

The Philippines has a large base of HR talent across the Technology, Professional ServicesFMCG, Hospitality and Industrial sectors, and most multinational companies have representative offices in the country. Higher education standards, strong English skills and relatively low costs have enabled the Philippines to grow into an attractive location for call centres, as well as for technology or Human Resources outsourcing operations.
HR Heads in the Philippines usually report into regional Heads of HR in Singapore, Hong Kong or China. High-potential HR talent is often sent on international assignment, both within the Asia Pacific region and also into North America or Europe. It becomes difficult, however, to attract these individuals back to Philippines-based roles and many will leave their original company while on assignment to join another there on permanent, local terms.
