Global C&B Manager (417/TCCG)

Location: Singapore
Type: Permanent
Posted: 30.04.10

The Company

This European shipping company has operations in 35 countries and a reasonable chunk of its business comes out of Asia. Owing to the appointment of a new Global Head of HR last year, the HR structure has been massively upgraded. A Global Head of Rewards was appointed late in 2009 and a decision has been made to bring in a Global Rewards Lead to report to this person but be based in Singapore.

The Role

Reporting to the Global Head of Rewards based in London, you will sit out of Singapore but have a global remit. Your focus will be on broad rewards issues across 35 countries. You will form part of a team of three and this will be a senior sole contributor position. You will be involved in salary benchmarking, short term and long term incentives and benefits harmonisation, as well as global projects.

The Individual

If you are motivated by gaining global experience out of Asia, this is your role! You should have a robust rewards background, ideally gained through a combination of consulting and in-house exposure. You will be comfortable working hands-on and not needing a team around you. The ability to cross time zones and travel frequently will be required in this role.
